Study: Stud Wall Prop for Suffrage and Glory

In this work an exposed, model stud wall is mounted to the pristine surface of a gallery wall. A mirror mounted to two upright beams reflects the frame of the viewer, creating an image that is punctured only by a cross-section of thick rubber tubing. Draped over the stud wall at shoulder height, a latex and leather sash with ruffles and corseted latex cord operates as a visual come-on, inviting viewers closer to inspect its surface.
